A casual date

On my sister's day off, we decided to have a date to happy hour sushi and relaxing at the pool. It's been awhile since we have some sisters quality time because my sister is such a workaholic and haven't have any time for me. No complaints though, she is about to move away for school and living on her own so she is trying to save up as much as she can during the summer time.
I love to spend time with her because she always spoil her little princess :) Sushi was yummy, of course. I can never get tired of them. There is nothing like a nice, relaxing day at the pool and chit chatting. We had a very good time with each other, and it is always great to have her around.

It's a celebration

A couple weeks ago, I went to a friends wedding. Actually, it was my older sister's boss wedding. I've met her quite a few times and hang out once in a while. She is a very lovely and nice lady. Other than being a boss, she is also a very good friend of my sister. It was a small wedding but the place were well organized. It took place at a country club, a different feel for us from all the usual Vietnamese style wedding that took place at restaurants. Since they have planned to go to France for their honeymoon, they decided to do a Paris theme. They also had an open bar, that is always a plus.
I love the dress that I chose to wear for this occasion. It is a very simple but elegant piece. The print on the dress is very unique, different from everything else I own. What I love the most are the cut on the two sides, it bring a very cute touch to the dress. I didn't want to wear anything too dressy or solid, so I decided to go with a more summer looking and comfortable piece. And it did exactly what I wanted, I was very pleased.

Sunday funday: A casual night out

A  few friends and I decided to go out to Putt Putt fun center to spend our Sunday night. Time was well spent, we all had a very entertaining time together. Since I haven't been back to this place for a while it has changed quite a bit. Batting, golfing, and go cart with some arcade games. It was a fun filled night with my great people. Afterward we went out for a late night snacking with a few drinks. A perfect way to end our night by exchanging conversations and catching up with them.

Sunflowers everywhere

I've always love wearing long shirt that could fit as a dress because I find it so effortless to put together. Because I am so petite that almost everything seem to fit like a dress for me. But I actually do like it that way, so I wouldn't be complaining.
I've seen quite a few photos of this sunflowers field and been wanting to check it out but never had the time to do so. Because both of my sisters and I are free today, we decided to go take a look at the beautiful field. It was not a short drive, and we got lost while trying to look for it. But I thought it was worth it after seeing a field full of bright yellow beautiful sunflowers. I've never seen that many sunflowers in my life. The two sides of the road were filled with nothing but sunflowers, sunflowers everywhere.

New love

At the beginning of the year I was determined to start my own blog but I didn't follow through with my own plan. Things got in the way so it faded over time, actually laziness was a part of it too. But I've thought about it recently and decided to pick up on it again, and hopefully I will follow through this time around.

Since it's summer time and I pretty much have plenty of free time so I've been doing quite a bit of shopping. These are some of the few things that I have recently purchased.

2012! Celebrating a New Year

To celebrate the year of 2012, we decided to take a train out to the American Airline center in Dallas to see the fireworks and walked around the strip. It was filled with over 50 thousands people I believed, and a very lively environment with performances and countdown at 12am. Everybody was very excited to see what the new year will bring, including myself.
Out with the old, in with the new. 2011 was a great year for me and I really enjoyed it. So many good and bad memories, experiences that has changed my view on a lot of things. And I've learned so much from all of my experiences. I've met a few really good people that are now my good friends, and I am very thankful for that. Through all the laughters and tears, and I am still keeping that smile on my face and ready to see what 2012 will bring. Happy New Year to you all :D
